For social media managers · Lesson 5 of 11

Send a post for sign-off

Send the post to the client, follow it on Approvals, and know what happens to an approval if the post changes.

The comic

  1. Panel 1 of 3.
Polly says: On the post, click “Send to client”. The dialog “Send to the client” takes “A message with it” if you like; “Send for approval” sends it. The client gets a notification and the post shows “With client”.
  2. Panel 2 of 3.
Polly says: Follow it on “Approvals”: “Your move” is what came back to you, “With the client” is what's waiting for them. You can also send from there with “Send for sign-off”.
  3. Panel 3 of 3.
Polly says: One rule to remember: if you change the caption, files or anything else the client approved, the approval no longer holds. The post goes back to “Ready”, leaves the queue, and the client is told. Send it again for a fresh yes.
