For designers · Lesson 3 of 5

The brand kit and moodboards

Creative direction holds each project's brand kit and moodboards, so every design starts from the same look.

The comic

  1. Panel 1 of 3.
Polly says: Open “Creative direction” with the project picked. The “Brand kit” says “Who the brand is”, “How it looks”, “Do and don't”, and holds “Logos and examples”.
  2. Panel 2 of 3.
Polly says: “Moodboards” collect the look for a season or a campaign. Make one with “New moodboard”; a brief or a campaign can point at it.
  3. Panel 3 of 3.
Polly says: When the kit is ready, “Shared with the client” lets the client see it too. It's a nice way to agree the look before the first post.
